FREEDOM OF
INFORMATION COMMISSION
OF THE STATE OF
CONNECTICUT
In the Matter of
a Complaint by Final
Decision
Richard Meade,
Complainant
against Docket #FIC 93-54
Bridgeport
Police Department,
Respondent August 25, 1993
The above-captioned matter was
scheduled to be heard as a contested case on June 23, 1993, at which time
neither the complainant nor the respondent appeared.
The following order by the
Commission is hereby recommended on the basis of the record concerning the
above-captioned complaint:
1. The complaint is hereby dismissed for failure to prosecute.
2. The Commission admonishes the complainant for his failure to
notify the Commission that he did not intend to prosecute his complaint since a
simple phone call to the ombudsman in this matter would have avoided the
unnecessary travel by and presence of the hearing officer at the scheduled
hearing.
Approved by
Order of the Freedom of Information Commission at its regular meeting of August
25, 1993.
