The above-captioned matter was heard as a contested
case on December 21, 1999, at which time the complainant and the respondents
appeared and agreed to settle the complaint.
The following are the terms of such agreement:
1.) The respondents agreed to provide the complainant
with a list of the names of active and retired employees of the City of
Hartford’s Fire Department who are receiving or have received college
incentive pay (including those who attended Western Connecticut State
University) and the name of the college or colleges from which each employee
received a degree(s), for the years between 1988 and 1999, by February 15,
2000; and
2.) the complainant agreed to withdraw his complaint
in this matter and in docket # FIC 1999-452.
The
following order by the Commission is hereby recommended on the basis of the
record concerning the above-captioned complaint.
1. The complaint is hereby dismissed.
2. The Commission commends the parties in this matter for successfully resolving the above-referenced complaints.
