FREEDOM OF INFORMATION COMMISSION
OF THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT

 

            The above-captioned matter was scheduled to be heard as a contested case on August 7, 2006, at which time the complainant and the respondent appeared. An introductory review of the issues presented by the case was conducted on the record, including a discussion of relevant court opinions. Based upon this review, the parties agreed to a brief continuance of the hearing, so that they could explore the possibilities for an agreed settlement and dismissal of the complaint.

            By email dated and filed with the Commission on August 22, 2006, the complainant withdrew her complaint in this matter.  The Commission takes administrative notice of such email. 

The following orders by the Commission are hereby recommended on the basis of the record concerning the above-captioned complaint:

1.  Based on the withdrawal of the complaint, the case is hereby dismissed.

2.  The Commission commends the parties on having reached a non-litigated settlement in this matter.
